When he created star wars he deliberately made a story around the concept of the hero"s journey; he tried to tell a new story with an old myth. Call - luke nds the droids and they have a message from princess leia with a literal call for help. Threshold - leaves his home planet to go ght in the rebellion. Major trial - in episode 6, luke has to face both darth vader and the emperor, but also must face his fear of the dark side.
