In some stories, eros is the son of aphrodite, some say he just comes into being. Greatest sin is to be dishonored in front of your lover. Difference between lover and beloved: older/teacher is the lover, beloved is the younger one and is a student. Focus on aphrodite and why there are two stories of her: one is heavenly love and the other is common love. Common love: love of the body, sensuality (the way men feel about women or sometimes young men)
