What do experiments tell us about how effective these cisd treatments are: the answer to this question influences what kind of treatment clinical psychologists should provide to their clients. Some people propose that cisd interferes with people"s natural coping responses that they require in their own time: when cisd forces you to talk about it. People say the session isn"t long enough. Another critic is that it is soon after the event, therefore triggering the anxiety before the individual experiences it. Years ago, most therapists believed ocd had psychodynamic causes, which required psychodynamic treatment. Treatment was long, arduous, and not successful.
