The scenario under discussion is that of a woman who may or may not have been subjected to a wrongful diagnosis of schizophrenia after her husband pleaded with the doctors to give her an evaluation. Due to the labelling and diagnosis, her life became harder and because of which she had to leave her children alone with her husband. To start i will discuss whether i believe if she"s psychiatrically disturbed or if she is just a victim of wrongful labelling. After reading through the scenario and gathering all the information that was given to me, as well as going by the text, i believe that the woman in this study was just a victim of a wrongful label. The first major proof of this is in how fast the doctor diagnosed her, and with little information. He was using a single- factor explanation and settled his diagnosis based on one experience that would fit the abnormality.
