Document Summary

The question has been around for a long time. Moment to moment awareness of ourselves and environment. Others cannot directly know our reality (and vice versa) No one knows how you experience conscious awareness. Ex. experience of drinking coffee might change from when you(cid:389)re tired to a different point in time when you(cid:389)re not. Mind is aware of its own consciousness. Resulted in shift conscious and cognitive, to behavior. Later went back to cognition due to better technology. Perform many mental functions without being aware of it. Most of what drives us is unconscious. Holds their experiences below the ability to retrieve it. Not aware of them at that point in time. Ex. when driving, can bring in the road signs into awareness. Are objective but cannot indicate what person is experiencing subjectively. Rouge test: used to determine if children have an idea of who they are, concept of self.
