PO102 Lecture Notes - Lecture 6: Financial Times, Global Issue, Kofi Annan
Document Summary
From here on, everything we talk about is on a global level. Global level issues are very similar to those at the national level: security issues, social issues, etc. Global level problems are more complex, more difficult, but we still have the same concepts as national: who has power, whose power is legitimate, who makes those decisions, who invites nations to the table. Politics is about community; you need to have a sense of community. People that are not apart of any state are often brought in to fix global issues. Example of how private corporations and states work together to fix issues at the global level. For different perspectives on what it looks like, and whether it even exists. It can be as small as a group or as big as the eu. People believe that if groups work together, we can solve the world"s issues.
