Elvis and band he was paired with played around and eventually came up with that"s. At the time, this would be called rockabilly. Elvis crosses colour lines with dress and voice. White djs didn"t want to play his music because they thought elvis was black. Black djs wouldn"t play because they thought it was country. Originally country song by bill monroe (father of bluegrass)
