Want to keep objects foveated (we want objects to be on the fovea) 6 muscles that move the eye in 6 directions: they create vergence and conjugate movements. Exercise increases blood flow: brings more oxygen to eye. Visual acuity found to increase following exercise: can last up to 2h post exercise. Basketball field-goal shooting: may be directly linked to dynamic visual acuity. Baseball outfielders: may also be linked to dynamic visual acuity. One eye processes information and transmits it to the brain more quickly than the other. Used in rotational skills (dance, diving, gymnastics, figure skating) Rotation of the head delayed relative to the body"s rotation. Vor = your eyes move with your head so your environment is static.
