Document Summary

Canada is a country that is influenced in huge part by the it"s down south neighbor, the united states. This is due to the magnitude of the population difference, Canada having almost 1/10th the population of the united states (37 million vs. 327 million) (worldometers, 2018). Though the cultural similarities are there, the difference still lies in the micro, day to day dealings of the individuals in these countries and how they behave. When comparing the canadian culture to a more socially upcoming continent such as europe, it is easy to see that europe has a few differences with canada. Europe has lower drinking ages so that is a good place to start to see the results of what could occur if the age is lowered. Europe is also good to analyze because they are another western civilization so the cultural differences are not that many. Germany specifically where the age is 16 is a good place to compare.
