No way out of the discourse, only way to counter the discourse is through another discourse. When you make policies, you decide whats normal, whats acceptable. A photographer, the photographs had erotically charged photographs. Cover photo had a flower with an erotic connotation with it. Many photos of men nude, engaged in acts of sexuality. Photo of a little girl, under 5, sitting innocently on a bench in a garden, had her leg up, wearing a dress and no underwear. Mapplethorpe sponsored by nea, grant giving institution. After this exhibit, policy makers got annoyed, thought people shouldn"t get grants to put on exhibits like this.
