Most art history starts with ancient greece and rome. They are the epitome of good art and design from european perspective. Most of the art in tina is european. No greek paintings painted on wood, haven"t survived. Three goddesses 438 bce from the east pediment of the parthenon. Menkaure and his wife queen khamerenebty from giza 2515 bce. Heredities openly acknowledge the debt that the greeks had to egypt and ethiopia. Medical treatment, ancestors, etc. came from these places. In europe until 1700s, it was acknowledged that other countries were seen as very advanced.
