Tone of the voice come into play when we make judgements about what people are saying vocalizations- Persuasion initial judgements are based on preconceived cultural knowledge rather than experience of a person- stereotypes. Adapt our vocal behaviour to the people we are speaking to. Not all emotions are equally easy to read.
