History of marathons: 26-mile runner died at the end, wanted to let empire know as soon as possible, long distance communication. Resources, war, trade, allies and enemies, laws, controlled allegation, governors operating properly, unrest, revolution. Avoid thinking one technology is superior to another, recognize all benefits and drawbacks.
