Unlike telegraph we use this currently today, replicating everyday senses sight/sound. To photograph is to appropriate the thing being photograph , taking something from real life and make it your own. Relationship between value and photograph, in some cases the object is worth more than the photo (think auction manual) or vise versa (professional photographer selling picture of a flower) Relationship between desire and the photograph, some people love it (model) or hate it (not willing) consent is part of it. Evidence: pictures of crime, or everyday use ex. Saw a dog with a heart shaped spot so take a picture to prove it. Looking at an image doesn"t require training or literacy like writing. When we read something we are aware that it is someone"s description, but photography is equally an interpretation and we don"t realize its the same.
