Develop a question/ inquiry that you are interested in: search it, use your textbook, gather significant question always write it down. Original thought/ idea makes for a strong essay. Know what your prof wants length of paper, field of study. Note: longer essays will have an abstract. Good to have a hook to interest your reader. Clear statement to the thesis/ purpose of the essay. Example: this essay shall example of making the thesis clear. This paper will limit makes it clear to the reader. Explain how you are going to address the topic (hints) Follow what you said you were going to do in the introduction. Use citations always go back to the original source/ author. Determine the strongest order of presentation: example: start with a strong point, then weak, then end off on a strong point.
