Criminology: the scientific study of crime, criminals and criminal justice system. One crime should not change the law. Deviance is caused by sitting against god. Religious based they don"t like god therefore they are doing bad things. Sob stories don"t cut it with criminal justice system. In society we have behaviour norms people may get mad if you don"t follow them, norms often lead to laws. People keep breaking norms on how to treat eachother. Study of victims, 1-10 sexual assaults will be reported. The dark figure of crime: all the crime that is committed and not reported. Victim witness assistant volunteer"s help the victims go to court. All police reports go to ottawa, statistics canada. If your reckless as to what wil happen, you can get yourself in trobele. We care more about our stuff, than our people. Sexual assault- women use to be property. You could not be raped by husband because you are married.
