Document Summary

As the bc minster for the environment, i refuse to allow the development to go as planned. As we all know the northern spotted owl in 1990 was official listed as a threatened species and severe restrictions were put on timber harvesting activities. We cannot allow further disruption of this great species of our land. We can consider the spotted owl as a key component for its ecosystem, it seems since the gradually decreasing numbers of owls, it has also lead to the demise of other species. With all these species slowly dying in their specific ecosystem, it has also lead to a decreasing number of productive forces that help us sustain our life, therefore we call the spotted owl an indicator species. As i once stated, northern spotted owls help ecosystems in many ways, along with other predators and small mammals. The spotted owl aids in the dispersal of less mobile wildlife, specifically the hypogenous fungi.
