Eastern: interdependent: identity based on relationships: we buy products to highlight/hide aspects of the self, accelerating: facebook/instagram/twitter share thoughts with and influenced by millions of friends/strangers. Concept of self: the person seeking congruence. Incongruence: self worth, self image, ideal self are separated and do not interact with one another: congruence: self worth, selfimage, ideal self overlap and interact with one another. Self concept: beliefs a person holds about his or her own attributes and how he/she evaluates these qualities, self concept can be somewhat stable over time and situations, situational factors can influence how we feel about ourselves. Intensity: my passion spills out to everyone around me and motives them to do their best: positivity/negativity: self esteem, content: attractiveness intelligence, stability: referring back to what they are used to, accuracy: right or wrong.
