Ideally, performance feedback would be given by the supervisor immediately after effective or ineffective job behavior was observed. Performance improvement plan is an effective way of giving employees struggling to meet performance standards the opportunity to succeed, while holding them accountable for past performance. Document employee"s current performance and areas for improvement o develop and action plan. Develop an action plan for improvement, containing specific goals o review the performance improvement plan.
