Wholesalers are firms that buy products from manufacturers and resell them to retailers. Retailers sell products directly to consumers. Logistics management describes the integration of two or more activities to plan, implement, and control the efficient flow of raw materials, in process inventory, and finished goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption. Direct distribution allow manufacturers to deal directly with consumer. Indirect distribution one or more intermediaries work with manufacturers to provide goods and services to consumers, manufacturer retailer consumer or manufacturer wholesaler. Multichannel distribution both direct and indirect distribution. Push marketing strategy a manufacturer focuses its promotional efforts, for example personal selling or sales promotion on channel members to convince them to carry its product.
