Court may find out one term of a contract is void and that the remaining parts are valid. Voidable contracts exist, but can be made void at the option of one of the parties. They were still a minor so it is not enforceable: credit cards automatically flip and are binding on them when they turn 18. Corporations: corporation= person in law, crown corporations, restricted by statute (government) that created them, regional municipality of waterloo-crown corporation-subject to legislation, ultra vires- doing something outside of the jurisdiction, outside of their powers = void. Labor unions: not a person in law, need one person in union to stand for the whole group representatitve action ; suing one person in the name of the membership of the union.
