In this study project, you will be analyzing the financial statements of two competing publicly- traded corporations (companies that trades shares on the stock market). Canadian or american corporations, however, keep in mind that it will be easier to analyze two companies that are either both canadian, or both american. Once you have chosen the two corporations you wish to analyze (every student will choose different corporations, no duplicates) you will collect the financial statements of those corporations for the past 3 years. This way, you will not jeopardize your mark by putting all your eggs in one basket. You will be collecting three consecutive years (ie, 2012, 2013 and 2014) of financial statements. You will need the balance sheet and the income statement. In order to achieve a level 4, you will need to collect all three consecutive years of financial statements for both corporations.
