Document Summary
Threatening - willing and able to create uncertainty. Cooperative - willing and able to support. Diagnose them along two critical dimensions of potential for threat and potential for cooperation -categorize them. Formulate appropriate strategies both to enhance or change current relationships with those key stakeholders and to improve the organization"s overall situation. Mixed blessing faculty, other universities (transferable credits), customers. Non-supportive other universities (competition of getting students) Monitoring - satisfying needs and/or demands of stakeholder; no need to involve or collaborate with them. Encourage supportive stakeholders to voice their support. Stakeholders can move from supportive to unsupportive on behalf of/in defense of other stakeholders. Change in relative proportions and participation rates of age groups have significant impact on business environment. Ex. if rate of bike accidents goes down need to see how many people are actually biking. Participation rates could"ve gone down rather than accident rates. Size of cohort= # of people in each age group.
