Until recently, youth crime were dominated by perspectives such as strain, differential association, social control and labeling. Theoretical perspectives on youth crime: general theory of crime (1990) Focuses on the concept of self-control: the ability to restrain oneself from momentary temptations: people with more self control = less likely to do crime.
