Focuses on women"s economic disadvantages: talked about a huge division of labour between the proletariat/bourgeoisie and then division with women as well. Said that women and men will all be equal because the proletariat as a whole will be more dominant than the bourgeoisie: radical feminism. Says everyone should be equal: male, female, etc, gendered social construction of deviance. Gender and deviance: gendered order -> gender norms -> gendered identity, gendered order we live in: patriarchy, pretty much all societies around the world are patriarchal. Females - fraud, shoplifting, morals crimes(crimes about their bodies (ex. Industrial: the control that was exercised on you depended on your class. If you were upper class, you went to a spa. If you were lower class, you went to reformatory or a girls school. If you were poor, you went to the poor house: 20th century - parens patriae.
