Social theory : framework for understanding sociology, ideas, behaviours within society. Organic : interconnecting sub-systems (interconnecting institutions) all work together to operate. Atomistic : society only exists because we give meaning to it. Nature: biological predisposition, the way we behave / interact. Nurture: behaviour / interaction is product of social environment. Reactors: no agency, reacting to social structures. Actors: we have complete agency / free-will to create social structure. If we can separate fact and value we are objective, if not we are subjective. Subjective (bias) [ideological bias] [unable to separate fact and value] Cuba is the only country that had revolution to overthrow capitalism.
