Marxist version of communism to what marx wanted. Weber: social structure does not exist outside of individuals - we agnatically create social meaning to our surroundings. Both durkheim and marx would argue that the institution of education and western would control the student - student"s professors and humans (weber) use this to create a structure we call education. Social action is the major concept the way that we interpret behaviour or action is the meaning defined by others. One of the most important contributions to sociological theory - (side note that is all sociology is) when we think about the classical ones he might be the most prominent because of his methodology. There is a relationship between history and sociology. Before soc he was a historian and understood the conceptualization between both disciplines - understood how soc could be used as tool for historians. History is made up of ideas that people made - ideas stem from the individual.
