People thought that trump overall would be a better option then hillary. Was too strategic and campaigned in too big of political states and forget about the popular vote. Political campaign of loss and looked more like reality tv - translated into votes for him. Ideologically he convinced them that he was anti-authoritarian and out for the little guy but he"s really not. Hillary underestimated trump - in a lot of the debates even hillary didn"t take it too seriously.
