Consider the following : why should you do a literature review when doing research, what is the purpose of a literature review, at what stage in the research process do you complete a literature review, as early as possible. It depends if you only do it once or not but need to keep up with the research because something could have been published while you"re doing your own research. There are the 4 main reasons she argues to do a lit review: informs your knowledge about the topic. Tells you what"s known and what has been found on your topic: helps you see what has been done, stimulates questions, serves as examples. Previous literature serves as examples - methods and theory: what a literature review is not, a list of previous literature, an annotated bibliography that lists references and has brief notes they are related but different.
