An objective, accurate, systematic analysis of empirical data, in order to discover recurring relationships, and to advance human knowledge . Objective - not biased, neutral, value-free, and undistorted. Humans are not objective, but science can be objective. Science is correct, or tries to be correct. Accurate - correct statement; a statement that is true. A set of steps you have to follow. You have to follow the steps orderly. Seeing how things fit together like a puzzle. Empirical - things that you experience with your 5 senses. Data - it can be numerical information, or qualitative/ quantitative information. Recurring relationships are things that happen over and over again. The thinkers are on the right, and the do-er"s are on the left. 12:00 pm = deductive or explanatory research. 5:00 - 6:00 pm = exploratory research. There is no research on the topic or very little research.
