Social practices of science is influenced by subjectivity. Science needs subjectivity but cannot be overwhelmed by it. Subjectivity is important to certain phases in the practice of science but detrimental to other phases real and objective vs. personal and subjective. People separate the world into facts and values. What you see if what you get - intuitive appeal. Good research methods are designed to minimize the types of errors that have been attributed. Twin pillars of public (open) scrutiny and skeptical reasoning. New ideas are only accepted have being critically analyzed. Minimize the influence of their personal value and expectations on the results of their research work. Objectivity: is the attempt to minimize the effect of personal bias on research results or the idea of impartiality, of fearing hearings". Objectivity is an ideal enhanced by the work of any single research being open to the critical scrutiny of others.
