Halos over the two women in the front indicating mary and elizabeth. They don"t wear shoes, they stand on their toes. Two men in the distance looking at the women salvation to the world. They are over and above, transcend the city. They are the same size as the buildings. Light in some ways is associated with god. Light from god, everything around it surrounded in darkness. In movies, good person dressed in white, bad in black. Where you have light, you also have love and care. Luminosity is a result of much effort and hard work.
