Self-concept clarity: we have high self-concept clarity if our self-schemas are, held with certainty, perceived to be consistent and stable. The influence of romantic breakup on the self-concept: examined change in both the content and structure of the self-concept, speficially reduced self-concept clarity, as predicted, individuals experienced self-concept content change and reduced self-concept clarity.
