Self-concept clarity can be influenced by situational factors. If something major happens in your life, you might start to wonder who you are. Individualistic cultures people tend to have an independent view of the self. Collectivist cultures people tend to have an interdependent view of the self. The self is often determined by thoughts, feelings and behaviours of others view of self is less consistent/stable.
