Non-accidental trauma: wide-ranging effects of maltreatment on the child"s physical and emotional development. Victimization: abuse or mistreatment of someone whose ability to protect himself or herself is limited. Kids just want the abuse to stop, they don"t want the parent to leave the home or them to leave the home b/c the parent is the one they accounted on their whole life. Many child abuse cases go unreported.
