They blink less than usual, speak with a higher pitch, short answer and excessive hesitation. Polygraph device that records fluctuations in physiological arousal as a person answers questions. Monitors autonomic arousal such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, perspiration, and galvanic skin conductancevalidity of polygraph testing is questionable with high error rates. Other promising method is brain-imaging procedure to measure neural activity in the brain.
