Prisons: aboriginal incarceration rate is even higher for females in comparison to the total. Violent aggressive inmates are in type 1 unit, type 3 are open concept with officer in them. In type 3 have to fight to prove themselves, survival of the fittest. All these prisoners are technically innocent, but the response is to lock them away and they can control things amongst themselves. 1st generation as many as 20 prisoners in the cell and they control what goes on in there guards walk around outside and will only go in to intervene if someone asks them to. The (cid:862)pai(cid:374)t(cid:863) where they fight for bunks levels, if you do bad you have to knock on the door and get the guard to let you leave. Anything could happen including rape or getting stabbed. Only way guards will intervene is if they scream or bang on the door then they will be punished by other inmates.
