Patients with epileptic seizures improved after attack. Used electricity rather than drugs to induce a seizure. Need a brief (less than 1 second) electrical current applied to head. Not good for you, can result in broken bones. Today, patients are anesthetized and partially paralyzed prior to treatment. Can cause permanent brain damage even at low dosages.
