Nativist (nature): behaviour is largely inborn idea of tabula rasa: black slate. Basic: quest for knowledge for its own sake describes how people behave and identify factors that influence behaviour. Applied: solving for specific particular problems uses principles discovered through basic research to solve practical problems.
