So the 41/2 year olds are showing egocentrism, from another perspective. But: maybe young child is pulled by desire, they just say whatever to get the candy. With broccoli instead of candy, even 3 year olds saw from teddy"s perspective and they could correctly identify the right box. This study conflicts with piaget"s theory that this age can"t see from other perspectives. Quality improved, but only 2 of 80 performed at formal level on all tasks.
