Anxiety-this is the first generation to know that they could die in a heart beat in a nuclear holocaust-kids in school did a duck and cover if an atomic bombs come-time period of mccarthyism and the vietnam war. Late 1950s-most of the audience were young americans who had the time and money to go to the films. Drive-in theatres were built in suburban areas where most teenagers were and they had access to get there. This was a place if you were a young couple-for example the movie grease.
