Blood flows in from the renal artery, travels through the renal relvis (filtrate which filters the blood), and then travels through the ureter bladder, which we pee off. Kidneys can go through disaster where a lot of them end up not working. Great back up system as vast amount, so all"s good. 80% of nephrons are located in the cortex layer of the kidney. Other 20% of nephrons are called juxtamedullary nephrons (dip into the medulla)
