Document Summary
What conditions must obtain in order for someone to know that something is true. According to traditional conception of knowledge knowledge is justi ed true belief. Every justi ed true belief constitutes knowledge and every instance of knowledge is an instance of justi ed true belief. I cannot know that something is the case without believing that it is the case. Even if it is true, and you have reason for thinking it is true. If your roof is leaking, you may not know it, if you do not believe it. When can you believe that something is the case. I believe that p is the case, when i have the belief that p is the case. Most of your beliefs are not occurring to you right now. Do not believe unless you"re thinking of it. Occurrent- you consciously accept that p is the case.
