Dealt similar to the response to evil nancy is interested in the moral problems in the military. Feel that you are the unfair beneficiary of the universe because the person that was killed was no worse than you (and sometimes is better) Suggests that you do something for the family -- because the dead person is not the only victim -- helps you work out your issues as what you may perceive as the unfairness of your survival. Part of the feeling that the soldier has is that he/she is part of a unit. When it is the person in your unit that you know has died (someone you have cooperated with and relied on) When you needed to depend on the person, they were there for you. Now they are dead, there is nothing you can do for them and you feel like you owe them something.
