The first law of nature: seek peace, this brutish state is not good we want to achieve peace. The second law of nature: give up your right, if there is a contract, it means that it"s mutual. It is a pact, or a covenant. A promise that you will give up your right for everything // you have no rights. The third law of nature: no lip service. Can we trust if everyone uses reason: we can only trust justice if people give up their rights. Supreme ruler: one person, or an assembly there needs to be something like a supreme ruler to enforce stability in the world / state of nature, hobbes has a gloomy view on the state of nature. What governs your behaviour, what you can access, what you do with the profit of your labour is governed by a supreme ruler. What is the responsibility of the supreme ruler.
