He feels bad about obeying but it was his duty to obey the party leaders. Punishment should be directed towards the nazi leaders. In fact, he is also a victim of the nazi leaders" abuse of his obedience. He felt like a scapegoat for the actions of others. Judgement of the court of appeal eichmann received no superior orders at all.
