To assess knowledge and understanding of the laws, regulations, by-laws, practice standards and guidelines that govern nursing in ontario. Jurisprudence examination: content: nursing self-regulation, nurse-client relationship. Fee is (+tax) exam begins as soon as fee paid: unlimited attempts - each time. Course content: week 8 legislative frameworks (na and rhpa); scope; standards, week 12 qa requirements. 2: week 8 scope of practice, professional standards (7 of these). Continuing competence: week 9 working with others, controlled acts, giving and receiving delegation, initiation. Course content: week 2 legal context for practice, week 6 patient safety, week 8 professional standards, week 11 incivility/ violence/ abuse in the workplace, week 12 continuing competency and lifelong learning.
