Patie(cid:374)t afety is : the reduction and mitigation of unsafe acts within the health-care system as well as through the use of best practices shown to lead to optimal patient outcomes. I(cid:373)ply put, patie(cid:374)t safety is a(cid:271)out : keeping patients free from harm, providing high quality healthcare, decreasing risks to patients.
