Nominated for nine tony awards; won only one for costumes by ann hould ward. Added new solo songs to give more insight into characters: Other new numbers: no matter what duet: belle and maurice. Human again written for movie, but not in original release. Maison des lunes for m. d"arque, head of the insane asylum.
