What is star, celebrity that public selected, represent more, signified more. Bigger, cultural impact, something having impact on the generation, there is genres for stars too. Pop sth everyone like, harder to be a star. Rock star focus more on the music, while pop star focus also on their own character, their effect to the society. Hip hop star also challenges their star identity. Performativity, music is very powerful under the persona, performing the star. Genre dependent ideology, signs of certain genre is required or needed, easier to be accepted by the public, categorize, exclusion and inclusions. Freedom from norms from society rock stars. Stereo black guy from the hood, represent die young. Celebrity, even thought they don"t have to be. Male and female, general associated with male. For female pop star is harder, more based on look, hard to maintain. Not all the celebrities are stars, not all the stars are celebrities.
